Have never tried the belt that hooks up and puts in you pain - does not sound like fun at all! However, I swear by the sweat belts that you wrap around you very tight and work out or sleep in...I have went from 210 to 130 and working on 119 and have found my belt to be the best buy ever! Walmart or Target should have them in the fitness section. Less than 20.00! The best one I had was black and about 1/4 inch thick and was a Golds Gym sponsored belt. I have a blue one as well but it is more flimsy and does not work as well! WEAR IT AND SWEAT! NO PAIN! |

If you are talking about the belts that use electricity to stimulate the muscles, then that is the point of them. The theory is simple. A small electric shock causes the muscles to contract. Just like when you exercise. So you supposedly get a workout without working out. Bruce Lee apparently believed in this technology, but I have no idea if they are really effective. They are too expensive for me to buy one just to find out. I don't think that they would be much good for fat burning, but for improving muscle endurance and tone, I have read that they are at least as effective as crunches. I have also read that if you don't use the gel that you get with them, that they can cause burns and you have to replace the contact pads periodically because they wear out. |

Yea, silly me used one of these back in high school. It didn't hurt but I would get a little red after use but always used the gel. There is a huge warning on there that it will burn your skin. Glad I know better now. |

TECHNODOG: wow.... i don't know... for me it still sounds like a goof... lol.. but the type of belt i was talking about was one that is attached to like a machine. so then you put the belt around you and then if you click a button on the machine, then the belt will vigorously vibrate and like... "massage" your abs. the people here use it after they work out.... i don't know if it's supposed to be some sort of an ab stretching method.... bleh- ????
LOVINMYLIFE24: how much was it? was it much help for you? hahaha i found it funny when you wrote, "There is a huge warning on there that it will burn your skin." LOL =PPP i don't understand why people would still buy it if there was a great risk |
