working midnights
hello, lately i joined a new gym by my house so it's very easy to go to 4-5 days a week and get a solid workout in, and at home eating has been going well. However i was wondering... i work midnights in EMS from 8p-8a usually get up around 2:30 p.m. and eat a bowl of cereal then work out around 3:30 then usually a chicken breast before i leave for work.... my question is at work.... i usually pack 2 sandwiches and a snack and 2 bottles of water.... should i be eating this much during the late night?? or if so how should i eat it... thanks all

I did mid nights for seven years and start back up next week.
Pick a tweleve hour time span and use that as your eating clock. So if you have breakfast at 2:30 pm you would stop eating at 2:30 am.
My scheldule will be 10 pm till 6 am. So I will probably eat in between 7 pm and 7 am.

Are you only getting 6 hours of sleep each night (day)? That does not sound like a lot. Sleep is important to weight loss (and health, generally, of course).
I feel for you!! I've just finished 4 X 10 hour nights. Thankfully I only have to do it every couple of months .... certainly mucks up sleep and eating patterns and makes you feel like ****.
What you're doing sounds OK .... certainly better than the crap I eat when I'm on nights. Re: sandwiches though .... how much is each one costing you??? I often find that sandwiches have heaps of cals for something that seems so "light" - particulary if you use mag or butter.
What the other people said as well - re time frames, + getting enough sleep.
All the best to you. Let us know how you get on.
