Really? Pierce Brosnan? haha

Ehhh...  Aside from the fact that it's a musical, the story line doesn't seem all that interesting to me.

Must be a generational gap thing - because I'm with gypsierose - I too saw it and thought it very entertaining.  Nice to see a comedy with no nudity and pretty clean language.  And although Pierce Bronson may not be able to sing he's still good to look at LOL!!!

it has Pierce Brosnan in it -- what more do you need????  Regretfully, I agree that Pierce should leave his singing to the shower (mine is open...), but the movie was great.  Regardless of ABBA connection, it really is just a love story.

Now, if you don't like ABBA to begin with, I'm not sure you'll like the movie, but I never minded them (OK, I confess, I have some ABBA on my iPod), and I thought the movie was great

thinks it looks cute.

A preview commercial came on the other night and I exclaimed "I wanna see That!!!" and he was like "WHATTTTT the hell!? You are so weird!!"....

I don't care the movie looks good... and I won't front, I like some ABBA.

Hey it's an entertaining movie, Pierce isn't that great at the singing  but you don't really notice it after acouple mins. and it's just so much fun. I like abba so what can I say. A fun afternoon. they scenery is beautiful. I lived in Greece for 4 yrs and I was wondering why the heck I left there.

I like ABBA; I have no interest in seeing Pierce or Meryl sing.

Ever.

I'm just glad it is finally out in theater's, because that means as soon as it is done they will stop playing those annoying commercials 50 times a day and I won't have "Mamma mia, here we go again, my my" or whatever they say stuck in my head all day.

I would rather watch grass grow. Not to be the cranky one in your post gypsie rose but those commercials drive me nuts.

I understand schnooder, I hate when stuff is stuck in my head. Here is a trick to get rid of it.  close your eyes , deep breath, tap your forehead 5 times with index fingers while counting or humming, tap your chin, and take turns tapping both your wrist and it should be gone., deep breath, shoudl be gone.  Works with cravings also.  Let me know if it works for you. Good luck.  I need to try it right now because even though I love the movie and musice I have super trooper stuck in my head and LOL, I bet it in yours.  Have a great day everyone.

I'm with you - although I did catch a clip of them singing because of The Daily Show interview with Brosnan, and that was all I needed to satisfy any fleeting moment of curiosity.  I mean, it's like they didn't even try to enhance his voice or anything, and they still released it.

I still like Brosnan, but I'll stick to non-musicals to watch him.

I think you should feel shame for lying to all of these fine people. That movie was absolute crap. Horrible really. It's strangely reminiscent of an alley cat brawl. A two hour alley cat brawl.

<Edited to include appology for harshness.>

It was an embarrassment to cinema.

I had no desire to see it but it was a friend of mine's b-day on Sunday so as she said 'it's all about me today, and that's what I want to see", LOL.  I should've snuck out and went to see Batman.

I've seen the play, so I don't really have any desire to see the movie...but it does look fun.
