When you are filling out the information it asks your activity level then places an amount they think you should eat. When I add activities to it-that number goes up..should I set it to Sedentary if I am going to add activities?
depends. when you set your activity level, did you take those activities into consideration already?
generally, you should set your activity level according to what you do daily, without fail. add only stuff that isn't including in that base level. so if you're not pretty rigid about your daily activities, yes, you should probably go to sedentary and add everything.
but they're all estimates, regardless.

I am pretty regular with my activites, but don't know how saying I work out regulary they could give a good estimate. There is a difference between people working out regularly for 30 minutes vigorously and 2 hours vigoursly which I would think would effect the amount you should eat. I hope that makes sense
bottom line, if your exercise is already accounted for in your activity level, then you're counting it twice when you log it. when you set your activity level, you should only include things you do every day, without fail.
beyond that, like i said, it's all an estimate. the activity level feature is just a convenience.
Sometimes it's OK totext in a restaurant.
