| HELP! Stadium food for dinner! (Go Cards!) | ||
| Jul 18 2008 19:51 | ||
I'm going to a baseball game tonight and will not be able to eat dinner beforehand. All of my family is just going to "get dinner" at the game (read: beer, hot dogs, nachos...). What food choices should I go for? I don't eat meat, but I'm thinking that hot dogs and fried chicken fingers probably aren't a good idea anyway... Plain pretzle? I'm thinking that might be the best, but I am not used to eating so little for dinner. When I make my own meals I'm able to have a decent sized meal with a good calorie count because of salad, veggies, etc... Can anyone give pointers? I think I have about 600 calories left for the day... A light beer and a pretzle? Is there anything else I haven't thought of that might be tasty and not too caloric? Edit: Here's the link to the foods available (although I don't know where our seats are or what will be convenient...): |

Another option is to have the chicken quesadilla or chicken sandwhich, but don't eat the bread. Assuming they are breast meat, they might not be too bad. But I agree that there are no really good choices. Good luck! |

They still allow coolers if you don't bring in alcohol or glass - bring your own food. That way all you have to do is pay $7 for the beer, eat what you want, and save a bit of money. (Recommendation: Charlie Gitto's downtown makes a good spinach salad, and you can get it to go.) Unless you want to fit in with your family, and you can just pay for an overpriced pretzel with the beer. Have fun at the game! |

She said she doesn't eat meat. So I guess she could do the opposite - get the sandwich and just eat the bread... :) We're veg too and we usually do the 3 P's - peanuts, pickles and popcorn. I guess we could add pretzels to that and it would be the 4 P's LOL. In looking at the menu, it looks like Dizzy's offers a veggie burger that might not be too bad; there is also an Asian stir fry where you could get some veggies. Or can you stop somewhere on the way - Subway perhaps? |
