Okay, I was really excited to learn that I could eat 1 tomato, 2 cucumbers, and 4 stalks of celery for around 80 calories! That was about all the calories I had left for the day and made for a great snack after my walk. Let's share some of our favorite snacks. Maybe the low cal ones and then the ones you save for a treat when you haven't used a lot of calories? The once in a whiles? I'm looking forward to some guacamole and trying to decide how I'm going to fit it in this weekend! |

I'm still relatively new to the forums and I just thought it would be fun to do a snack one of my own, maybe get replies from some other new people. I didn't know my being redundant would be offensive to some. I'll definitely do a search before I post again. I just don't have room for rudeness in my life and really don't find it appropriate on a website devoted to helping people become healthier. I also don't want to come across as rude in my replies, so if I am, I apologize. If you are tired of reading about snacks, don't read the thread. |

| You know, alibuch, new people are coming onto this site all the time. It's possible that they might bring some new ideas that we haven't heard before. | ||

Tired, Great job on keeping track of your cals and daily intake. Also cudos for getting some exercise! Don't mind the rude people, these days they seem to be every were, luckily they are still out numbered by the nice, helpfull once. As for my favorite snacks... I love a small can of corn (about 100 cals.) a cup of soup (65 cals) or some lovely summer fruit. For my treats I have some dark chocolate, when the TOM monster is in town, and sometimes if I really feel like it I work in some bisquits in my daily allowance. Keep up the good work and keep posting, we are here to help each other on this difficult road of weight loss. |

I keep a bowl of hard-boiled eggs in the fridge to grab for snacks (70 cals each). Also, a half a cup of non fat yogurt is 50 cals and I add my own fruit, plus a bit of vanilla and cinnamon for flavour. I find the sweetened stuff is too sweet for me now. I also keep babybel cheese handy too for 70 cals (I love that stuff). Plus, I'm an ice cream fanatic so I've bought some low fat fudgecycle bars for only 40 cals each and I have one probably every other day for desert. |

There are many similar threads/subjects that will inevitably pop up on a messageboard like this. However, I don't mind new threads being started because there are new ideas and trends out there all the time. Maybe I don't want to slog through 200 old posts (and if I do, I'll use the search). Or perhaps I don't want to respond to someone who posted 6 months ago when I could be discussing the same topic with someone who is interested in it right now. Anyway... Tired just inspired my afternoon snack and I'm grateful for that. It sounds delicious! Usually I go for some rice crackers and cheese, or no sugar added applesauce. |
