OK...I'm 5'5" I went from 170 lbs in oct '07 to 135 lbs in may '08. I haven't reached my goal of 125 yet but worse I have regained 5 lbs and am currently 140lbs. I have gotten bored with my diet and kinda strayed for a few weeks. I was trying a little but not much and now that I'm trying again I can't seem to loose anymore and I think I've hit a platue. but anyway to my question...lol...
I was wondering if calorie cycling might help with this, I've read about it and I just want some opinions about it. I was thinking of going for something like this
mon: 1200 cal
tues: 1900
wed: 1300
thurs: 1500
fri: 1300
sat: 2000
sun: 1300
any thoughts?
anyone?
I don't have an answer for you but you could try entering your stats in one of these calculators http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calc ulator.htm or http://www.naturalphysiques.com/tools.php?ite mid=64
Cycling my calories definitely helped me break my plateau. But before I started off, I took a free day and ate around 3000 calories.
Here's how mine looks:
Mon 1500
Tues 1900
Wed 1500
Thu 2000
Fri 1500
Sat 1500
Sun 2400
To be honest, I have gone over a little here and there. I stopped being completely rigid and when I did, I started to lose. I lost 3 pounds this week just cycling the calories and exercising on my higher calorie days.
I don't expect to keep losing at this rate, it will probably slow down again, as it did when I first started back in May.
I hope this helps you. Here's a site that I enjoy reading in regards to calorie cycling: http://www.j3nn.net/
