| Help! I've Beed A Bad Girl. | ||
| Jul 16 2008 17:49 | ||
Ahhh I’ve been a bad girl. *sigh* I just ate for lunch 3 pieces of baked chicken and maybe 3.5cups of spaghetti. Yup that a lot of spaghetti! I’m around finals so I’ve tried to be good but haven’t had the time to shop for all my healthy stuff. Stupid thing is I can’t even go to the gym this afternoon. Any suggestions to help me burn off the excess cals at work? |

Kagels? LOL I've never actually logged them. I don't know what they are worth. Seriously, what kind of work do you do? |

I’m a receptionist so I’m always sitting at the phone. Would simply standing while answering the phone burn more calories? |

I doubt enough to make much of a difference. When do you get off work? Just because you can't go to the gym doesn't mean you can't workout. Go for a run/jog/walk/bike ride or do something aerobics-y at home. |

I wouldn't stress about it either. I was looking for a desk workout that someone posted a while back. I can't find it. I did find this for you: |

| I also sit at my desk all day at work. Little things like taking the long way to the restroom and breakroom, or printing something to a printer across the building helps me get a little more exercise. Not always easy when you're busy though. 8 hrs chained to a desk really sucks sometimes. | ||

After work I'm spending 4hrs in my psych class so I get out at about 8pm. Then it's a 1.5hr commute home. Hmm maybe I'll try some strength training. I have a 1000 page sociology book that's ridiculously heavy. |

Time to get some resistance bands! And I've seen desk work-outs with them on youtube. My mil gave me some bands a while back and they've been fabulous because I can do it easily at home and they don't take up much space. And I've noticed a HUGE improvement in muscle tone with them. So they are perfect for when you can't make it to the gym. |

Standing while taking acalls is good, also before you sit down ehn you are a few inches from the seat hold it there for 5-10 seconds. <-- Its like doing squats :-) |
