I am trying to find low sodium grain snacks so I get my daily recommended amount of grains but I am having trouble.

The only low sodium options I know are pasta, rice, cousous... but Iam looking for snack options something easy to grab from my purse during work to eat.

Help :)

Please.

you could go buy/look for whole-grain crackers that are low in sodium or whole-grain tortilla chips that are low in sodium.

you could also make something ahead of time at home like home-made granola bars, or even homemade muffins (oatmeal applesauce, bran, zucchini, etc).

also, you could bring along some popcorn in a tupperware container (you can buy plain kernels and air-pop them in a aper bag yourself, and then add whatever seasonings you want).

and, you can bring along a baggy or container or any cereal you like (fiber 1, all bran, whatever).

i hope i helped :)

Try seeds... pumpkin, sunflower etc.  Raw they're quite crisp and crunchy with a good fibre and protein content.  Relatively high in calories so keep an eye on the portions.
