Foods not on the website? yrpaine1

I'm trying to log some foods but I can't find them anywhere on the site. Is there a way for me to just insert the food calorie and nutritional values myself?

There are two different methods to add items not listed in the database to your log.

The first is the 'Suggest a Food' tool found under the 'Tools' tab - which creates a suggestion that our editors then review before adding to the central calorie-count database....a process that takes 2-4 weeks to complete (as suggestions await a data reload to be added to the database.)

Mostly however members want a more immediate addition capability and to do this you should just use the second of the two alternatives for adding items to your food log.  Following option 2 just adds the item (in as much or as little detail as you care to create) for your own log use and does not make this available in the editor-reviewed central database.
