With bone? Skin? I guess we could establish an estimation that the bone should be around 10% of the weight of it, depending on the size?
I prefer chicken breasts. Easier to count the calories. :)
Good luck there.
Ca
with chicken drumstick-like a normal peice from a chicken, i dont weigh it, but when i look at the choices it says w/ or w/o skin and bone, i dont get it. one drumstick is really only like 75 calories?
thanks
Maybe weigh the whole thing then weigh the bones after you've eaten?

I agree with this suggestion - you only have to do it once really - once you have a general idea a few grams either way won't make a great difference one way or the other.
Alternatively just include them straight from the food browser - it says the average roasted drumstick has 52g of edible meat and cost 112 calories. Unless you are eating some kind of uber chicken or those teeny sized ones that they must use in KFC, then I would imagine the average sized drumstick would yield 52g +/- 10g and if it was, say 62g, it would only be an extra 20 calories which is not a great deal to be out by imo :)
thanks jack!
