| Missed your goal ... now what | ||
| Jul 07 2008 20:16 | ||
When I started this at the end of March I set the goal of 30 pounds by July 4th. Well the 4th has come and gone and I missed my goal by 4 pounds. How do you stay motivated when you missed your goal? I have never really set a goal for myself that I did not meet and I don't want to be discouraged. I know 26 pounds is good but I feel like I am now lost. |

If you've lost 26 pounds, then I would say "YOU WIN!!!" Be proud of your accomplishments, and move on, another week or two and you will lose the other 4, Set a new goal, maybe by July 31st you will have lost the other 4, but don't give up!!! I'm proud of you!!!! |

Remember that the real goal is to lose weight and be healthy. You accomplished that. 26 pounds is a lot! Accept that the goal might have been too ambitious and that you made a really good try at it. And if the real goal is to be healthy, how can you give up at that? |

Great Job on losing 26 pounds!! its not an easy task.. But dont give up, you can still reach your goal even if it takes you a few more week If a long distance runner was on a marathon and he wanted to get to the goal line at X time, and he couldnt, would he all of the sudden stop running? or would he try to get to the goal line no matter how long it took him... Keep going and finish your goal.. You will felt great when u reach it and will have no regrets |

| My goal is 158 by July 10. I had to revise it for July 30 because it's unlikely that I'll lose 4.8 more pounds in two more days! | ||

26 pounds is nothing to sneeze at! Every pound is a victory and should be celebrated. Reset your goals and keep going, your doing great! |
