I started calorie count in November of 2007, since then I lost 22 pounds. But...I gained 2-3 back and I never reached my goal of 145. Right now I am 155-156. I began this journey at 175, 5'8". So who's ready to lose the last 10 with me??

 

We will have weekly weigh-ins on Friday mornings and post them in this thread, tell how we feel, if we are struggling, etc.

We need support!!

Hi Cassie! This is totally my goal. I am currently about 180 (we'll see where I"m really at tomorrow) and my goal is 170. After that, I'm going to really try to tone up and see hwo I feel at that weight. My birthday is Aug 21st and my triathlon is Sept 13th so if I can't make it to 170 by my bday, i def want to do it by my tri. I've been having a lot of trouble losing this last bit of weight b/c I have to eat more to sustain my training and avoid injury. but I think I can do it! I"m definitely in!

Hi all-

I would like to join too!  I started cc about 3 weeks ago and I lost 7 pounds in the first 2 weeks!  But then NOTHING in the 3rd week (which just ended yesterday) so I am pretty discouraged :-(

I've been trying to take polls from other users as to where I should turn next.  Should I continue the low calories or should I try zig zagging?

I also feel guilty because I ate a lot at the cheesecake factory tonight!  But it was pretty good :-)

I started at 146.  I'm now at 139.  I would LOVE to get to 129 but I'm just not sure what to do.  120 is my ultimate goal (I am only 5'2", female).

I could use the support and advice!

Im in!! My wedding is August 16! And i would liek to lose more however 10 pounds would make my day. Im 5'1" and i weigh 150

I want to join, but I'm terrified that I won't be able to do it.  It'll be good to have someone to have to answer to, so Iencourage anyone to make me feel guilty for not following through! I', 5'2" and 124 lbs right now... I'd loveto get down to 115 lbs at least.  Because I'm so short my healthy range goes all the way down to 103 lbs (not based on this site but others).

I don't know if I'll be able to do it but I would love to try...  my goal was originally to lose 5 lbs by August 1st because except for the first month of my diet I haven't been able to lose anymore than 5 lbs a month.. this just may be the motivation I need to do it tho.. Ok I am definitely in. Smile I am about 111 lbs right now, or maybe 112 after this weekend. And I would love to get down to 100 pounds by August 11th.

that's exactly how much i have left to lose!  i think i'm in...  i KNOW i can do it!  if i can just behave...

i'm 5'7" and 144 today.  i was 140 on saturday, so 4 of these pounds are "fresh weight" & should come right off.  :D

Aug 8:  137  that's ok though.  i'm maintaining now, so i'll be fluctuating from 134 to 139 now, i guess  :D  i'm giving myself 5 pounds leeway.  yet, i'm considering getting down to 129 so when i'm up 5 i'll be 134 instead!  but i already had to "sneak" the last 5 off.  lol  i don't think anyone would notice if i snuck off 5 more...

Oh, I'm in sore need of motivation right now... I had gotten down to 161.5 (from 169.5) but I had about a week and a half off where I just went crazy on top of eerything... I'm terrified to look at the scale right now, as I'm pretty sure it'll read somewhere around 167 right now, and drop down to about 164 or 5 after all this water-weight from crappy eating leaves my system.

So I'm in. I'll tell you my "starting weight" this friday, k?

Yes, I'm definitely in!  I lost about 7 pounds and have been stuck here since March.  It is time to get the rest off!

I'm currently 8 lbs away from my goal of 120, though the scale sometimes bounces up ~130. I'm looking to put a stop to it once and for all. We can do this!

So, I made my goal, and lost more than 10 pounds since the day I signed up to do this, and 9 pounds since the official start of the challenge.  This challenge has been GREAT motivation for me.  Thanks all, and congrats on your loss!

I'm totally in! I'm 5'10" and currently 150lbs. But I would love to get down to 140, and I think August 15th is a reasonable and healthy goal date. Not to mention, I'm singing in a wedding at the end of the month which is a huge motivator for me. I'm going to be singing in front of about 600 people including old college classmates that I haven't seen in YEARS. So the plan is to weigh in every Friday??

 

7/11/08: 150lb (2 weeks of calorie cutting and intense working out and i haven't lost ONE lb. i'm hoping my period is the reason...so frustrating.)

I'm in too!  I'm getting married August 30.  I lost 7 pounds on C.C. in 2006, but it slowly all crept back on.  This morning I was 127.4, and I want to be 117 by my wedding day!  Good luck everyone!  Laughing
