Hi, I haven't lost a lot of weight yet, but I just wanted to ask those of you that have and are maintaining a question. Have any of you had proffesional hypnosis to lose weight? It is a possibility fior me and I am seriously thinking about it. Thanks.
For what it's worth, here's my opinion and a couple of references.
I have also heard this called guided meditation and Biofeedback

Where it helped me most was getting a handle on my stress (most of the time) and getting enough sleep. Being stressed and tired are primary triggers for me when it comes to eating.
It's no magic bullet, but I found it helped me.
Like everything, it takes a basic desire to change and some self discipline. It's not a one time deal, but has to be a DAILY part of your routine. (at least 20 minutes per day) It's just another way to train the brain.
A qualified, certified and experienced Hypnotherapist can get you started and help you create some tapes or CDs to use on a daily basis. (If they tell you they can cure you in one session-RUN and take your money with you!)
Good Luck!
be careful with hypnosis, it can be very effective on some people. It could help you to control your apatite and exercise more, or it could cause you to become a full blown anorexic/bulimic

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
