Ok i've been eating pretty cleanly for about 8 weeks now, however yesterday i sort of fell ... of the clean wagon with some very very unclean foods.
It was a planned tumble but a tumble all the same and although i watched my calorie intake for the day so it didn't go Toooo much over mantance i figured one day of processed foods wouldn't hurt.
however this said this morning my body is hating me, i've had a few very very unpleasent visit's the the bathroom , is this normal after getting used to clean eating?? or have i just eaten something dodgy??
It is normal for me to "pay" for a day of bad eating after getting my body used to really good, clean eating. I have the evil bathroom trip, bloating, sometimes fatigue, and that remorse that makes me promise not to do it again. (Until next time.)
oh i feel better knowing its not just me then .... im not ill as such i just feel really bloated and sleepy .. not to mention the 500 bathroom trips .. bah!!

Are you mildly lactose intolerant? Many of those processed foods have dairy derivatives with lactose in them. I'm not a doctor, but what I can say is that for me, that's what makes me regret eating highly processed foods. Plus, the salt makes me bloat up like Veruca Salt!
edit: accidentally typed lactase instead of lactose. Lactase is the enzyme that breaks down lactose.
That's the name! Thank you gi-jane :)
hmmm i dunno before i ate clean i used to eat ALOT of dairy and i've never suffered any problems like this before, chese icecream and yogurt where and still are my favorite foods .... which sucks cause ive pretty much cut them out since eating clean... bah.
I eat a very clean diet (probably 98% of the time) and my body doesn't like me either when I eat unclean foods, so I bet that's the problem. That sure helps me stay on track! I spend the next day in the bathroom alot, bloated, tummy ache, gassy, etc. Although, I have found when I switched from cow's milk to soymilk years ago, my body does not like straight milk. That is common. My body has 'forgot' how to digest it, and it's not really the best thing for your body anyhow, soymilk is a healthier choice. Yogurt and some ice cream is fine, just not straight milk. Hope this helps!

Hey, someone somewhere has to help me with my Willy Wonka references. How else am I going to straighten these things out... ;)
