I've been using CC consistantly for three weeks now and I have lost a total of 5 lbs. I measured myself today and there has been no change in my hip/waist measurements nor has there been in my arms (although when I measured my left arm, I got 13 2/8" and the other 14 =\)
I have been walking everyday (minimum: 1 hour a day) and I have been building muscle using resistance bands and free weights. I thought long and hard about whether it could be water weight lost but I've been losing weight steadily (atleast one pound a week) and I have had one time where I went on the scale and I gained one pound back (not due to poor eating habits though). I ended up losing two lbs this week which made for a total of 5 lbs lost so far.
I'm interested on anyone's take on this as I'm not sure if I should be concerned or if I'm possibly doing something wrong. I'm 5' 5", 170 lbs (SW: 175 lbs) 18 and female. I eat anywhere from 1250 to 1500 daily and I burn approx 2160 plus any walking or aerobic exercises I may do during the day.
Is it possible that you didn't measure in exactly the same spot from time to time? I wouldn't worry too much about not seeing much change in inches for five pounds and over 3 weeks. It's not enough time to see a really distinct difference probably.
Congratulations. If you are right-handed, it's not surprising that the right arm is bigger--you use it a lot more in the course of a day/life.

Thanks guys! I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing.. I don't see my question getting asked a lot and I think it's an important one because it's hard to know whether you've lost fat or muscle when there is no change in inches around the body.
Sounds like you're right on track. I recommend checking out www.phord.com/cc. You can add your stats including measurements & body fat percentage. I just put your info. in & at a "moderate level of activity- exercising 4-5 times/week, the suggested eat is 1577, burn is 2444 & you'll lose 1.73lbs/week. Check it out for a more accurate approximation. When I started, I lost about 5lbs/month. That was in mid Jan. & I've lost 27lbs. with 8 to go. Hope this helps a little!
