ive been eating healthy latley and doing 30-60 minutes of cardio daily but im worried that maybe im not taking in enough calories to lose the weight that i want to. Normally I eat a good amount of fruits and vegetables and always have a lean piece of chicken. I never notice that i am hungry because i usually eat a lot of small portions. When I add up my calories its always less than 1,500 and usually around 1,000. I have heard that if you eat to little calories you wont lose weight because your body stores it all. Should I increase the calorie intake or am i doing alright

As a former anorexic, it is hard for me to say this, but you must MUST eat a minimum of 1200 calories per day or your body will go into starvation mode. I usually eat between 1250 and 1350, although that's actually lower than what I'm supposed to be eating, it's as much as I can manage right now. But at least my body can handle that you know?

There's a good site to check out that figures in the "safe range". It is www.phord.com/cc. I like it because you can put in more information like hip & waist measurements, & body fat %. It's calculations may be somewhat lower than CC, but I think that's due to the way burn calories are figured in. However, I also keep an excel spreadsheet and they are pretty close. Hope it helps!
Definitely increase your cals to no less than 1200 calories per day for a woman. If you are a teen add 300 cals to that. IF you work out, you should probably be adding a few more to that too, while keeping your total deficit at no more than 500-1000 per day for a total weight loss of 1-2 lbs per week, and ideally no more than 1% per week. That's the bare minimum for healthy and sustainable weight loss.
