So basically at the end of every day i look at my analysis , and i am always wayy low on fiber! and i have noticed lately that i havent been "regular". Its causing my stomach to bloat more also..
so im looking for some foods that are high in fiber but low in sugar and fat..does anybody have any ideas??
anyone?
All Bran has this awesome Fiber Drink mix, in Ice Tea and Pink Lemonade, 10gm protein per packet and 20calories!
Also All Bran Extra Fiber is 50 calories per 1/2 cup and 13gms of fiber, similar to Fiber One (also good choice) I just prefer the taste of All Bran Extra Fiber better myself.
Finally Raw Spinach is super low calorie but decent fiber for being so low calorie.
Also Light Wheat Bread is lower in calories but still has 5-6 grams of fiber per serving.
Def try the All Bran drink mixes though they are so good!

As does the Mayo clinic:
I am taking the 10 day All-Bran challenge. I mix in 1/2 serving Bran Buds into my yogurt, or oatmeal in the morning, then mix in the other 1/2 serving into ff pudding at night. I'm only on day 2, and it was a moving experience today.![]()
Psyllium (more of a supplement than a food).
Any kind of vegetable. Different veggies will have different ratios of soluble:insoluble fiber - something like celery will have more insoluble fiber, something like eggplant or squash will have more soluble fiber.
Beans, lentils, legumes.
I eat figs when I think I am low on fiber (I always have some at home).
Thomas english muffins light are 100 calories a peice with 8 gm fiber and 5 gm protein. Enjoy a sandwich!
Beans are a good source of fiber, as are lentils.
for me; nuts, raspberries, carrots and blueberries are great sources of fiber.
I snack all day on Special K protein plus and popcorn is also a good source of fiber.
Dairy Queen fudge bars are only 50 calories and 6 grams of fiber! ![]()
I'm not sure how healthy they are but the Fiber One bars are really yummy - almost like eating a candy bar! The kind I have (oats & caramel) have 140 calories, 3.5 g fat and 9 grams (35% DV) of fiber. That with a low fat yogurt & some fruit is what I have for breakfast a couple times a week and helps keep me regular.
have you tried benefiber? you mix it in with any kind of food or drink and you can't even taste it! i mix benefiber in with my oatmeal in the morning for some extra fiber
Fiber One cereal has tons of fiber... so do the Fiber One snack bars. They taste yummy too, especially the peanutbutter one. I use Fiber One as a supplement - I'll have a normal serve of low-fiber cereal and add 1/4 cup Fiber One to top up the fiber... it's also nice mixed with yoghurt or cottage cheese or made into trailmix with a few chocolate chips and some fruit...
Black beans, lentils, leafy greens, onions and peppers. Do you like fajitas or tacos? Eat a high fiber tortilla with lots of onions, peppers, tomato, lettuce and tofu. That should give you at least 10 grams and taste ok.
