Hi, it took me 30 years to realize that body image and self image are seperate.

Anyway, i used to diet alot, and restrict my calories and was happy at a low weight. Now that i am eating normally again, i have put on 8-10 lbs. The crazy part is that when i look in the mirror i do not think i look like a fat ugly cow. i would like to lose 10 lbs but i am also trying to get pregnant again. i have hated my body for 30 years and it has controlled my life, if the scale was up than the **** would hit the fan, when it was down...woohoo. It never mattered how low the scale would go, i still thought i was fat and ugly. for so many years i thought that when i was fat than i was ugly. ( i never thought that about other people that were overweight) My mom has always had an ed, taking lax's or starving herself, so it was really hard to stop my dieting to b/c healty.

the problem is that now sometimes i eat late at night and i need advice on how to stop that.

Also do you think that 135 for a 5,3 32 year old female  is fat? my waist is 29, chest 32 and hips 37. i honestly think i look okay, just wondering...

thanks:)

135 makes your BMI 24 which is perfectly healthy.   Glad you're now seeing the real you!   I've seen old photos of myself where I remember thinking I looked pretty hideous at the time.  And I see now what I was... a lovely-looking girl.  Pity we waste so much of life worrying about stuff that we needn't have, eh?

Late night snacking... It's not a big problem depending on what you snack on.  If you try to space your food out reasonably well during the day, have a good-sized breakfast and bulk out your main evening meal with lots of vegetables you might be able to miss out on needing something later.  But if you do fancy nibbling something choose healthier things like chopped up fruit with a little yoghurt and honey or raw carrot/celery/pepper sticks with a little hummus.  They take a long time to eat and don't add many cals to your total for the day.  Good luck

I would say 135 or 5'3" is very healthy and not at all fat.  In fact I'm 5'4" and my goal is 135, although I'm going to see how 140 looks and feels -- I'm losing slowly, so I may stop when I get there and just not go on.

I'm a little concerned that at 44 year old 135 might make my face look too wrinkly.  Less fat filling it out means loose skin.
